Celebrating Andrea Grace Soter-Simonson
Offering Support for families challenged by cancer
 It is our mission to help families with the challenges of cancer. On June 6, 2008, our beloved daughter, wife, sister and mother went to join the Lord, passing away in her home at peace, comfortable, and surrounded by her children, family and friends. Andrea succumbed to her illness after a courageous six-year battle with ovarian cancer. Andrea heroically fought her illness, often defying the experts and odds while living her life during this time without complaint or apparent debilitation, and with strength, dignity and grace.
It is with great honor that we offer AGSS Memorial Foundation services including a list of resources for families dealing with the challenges of cancer. Andrea is survived by Clif Simonson, her husband of 16 years, and children Christian 8, and Olivia 14.

Olivia's cousin, Caylynn Simonson is competing in the Miss California pageant, a preliminary to Miss America, this June. Part of her platform is the AGSS Memorial Foundation. We will be sponsoring her throughout her competition and wish her the best of luck! |

Public invited to Soter Point at Marina Park dedication on April 21
 Ventura, CA - Soter Point consists of a picnic area, landscaping, new benches and a 15-foot tall flute-playing mermaid in bronze. This is a public/private partnership between the City of Ventura and three of its residents and was designed in memory of Andrea. The public is invited to the dedication of Soter Point at Marina Park, located at the eastern terminus of Pierpont Boulevard, on Thursday, April 21, from 10 am to noon. A reception follows the dedication ceremony of short presentations by project cosponsors Sam Povar, Andy Soter and Alec Benke, and a performance by the 28-member Ventura Choraliers featuring Barbara Reed and Kate Ford.
